”We are the number one in Africa as energy producers, we are the first in Egypt, Tunisia, Congo and we have a major presence in Nigeria, Mozambique and Angola”, Paolo Scaroni, CEO of Italian oil company Eni, said during a meeting in Cortina d’Ampezzo in the north of Italy.
‘We decided to extend our range of action through a joint venture with Vitol in Ghana, after a great discovery of a few months ago, which regards the oil industry.
“We are watching with great interest the area of the lake Albertino cross bordering Uganda and Congo”, Scaroni added. “We have no doubt, this is a move that it will be well received”, he also said.
