Mali: Al-Qaeda Promises Terror in Europe

Al-Qaeda Promises Terror Attacks in Europe Following French Invasion of Mali.

The CIA’s al-Qaeda in the Islamic Mahgreb has vowed to kill French citizens in response to their government’s invasion of the African country Mali.

The French military and Malian forces launched a military offense last week against the Movement for Oneness and Jihad in West Africa (MUJAO), a Salafist group affiliated with al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM).

France’s socialist president François Hollande declared the “entire international community” is outraged by “al-Qaeda’s blow to the very existence of Mali” and his military would “respond without delay” and operate under the globalist authority earlier declared by “the framework of UN Security Council resolutions.”

“France has attacked Islam. We will strike at the heart of France,” Abou Dardar, a MUJAO leader said after France sent dozens of fighter jets to bomb targets in Goa and Kidal. Dardar said retaliatory attacks against France will take place “Everywhere. In Bamako, in Africa and in Europe.”

“In late November, Ban Ki-moon, the United Nations secretary general, recommended that the Security Council endorse a plan by the African Union and the Economic Community of West African States to deploy a security force at the request of the Mali government to reclaim the north from the extremists,” the New York Times reported.

Following a call by Sen. Christopher A. Coons and others in Congress to support action against the MUJAO in Mali, the Pentagon’s deputy assistant secretary for Africa, Amanda J. Dory, said it was likely U.S. warplanes would be used to transport African troops and provide them with air cover.

The invasion of Libya and the murder of Gaddafi paved the way for MUJAO and al-Qaeda. “The rebels, armed with weapons stolen from Muammar Gaddafi’s formidable arsenal, took over an area of the Sahara as big as France in an astonishing 72 hours, taking advantage of the chaotic aftermath of an army coup,” Nick Meo wrote for the Independent.

“Their core was formed by a group of Malian Tuareg soldiers who had been part of Colonel Gaddafi’s army for years, and in some cases decades. Last summer they realized that he was doomed and deserted his army, with large amounts of his weapons which they secretly transported across the desert to Mali,” Meo writes.

AQIM proudly admits it was allowed to gain possession of Gaddafi’s weapons. “We have been one of the main beneficiaries of the revolutions in the Arab world,” AQIM leader Mokhtar Belmokhtar told the Mauritanian news agency ANI in November, 2011. “As for our benefiting from the [Libyan] weapons, this is a natural thing in these kinds of circumstances.”

As Tony Cartalucci and other observers note, AQIM is closely allied to the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG), founded in 1995 by a group of mujahideen veterans who had fought against the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan. The mujahideen operation was run by the CIA, Pakistan’s ISI, and the Saudis. It eventually became al-Qaeda, the Taliban, and assorted jihadists who proved eminently useful in the contrived global war on terror.

In 2007, “al-Qaeda’s number two, Zawahiri, officially announced the merger between the LIFG and al-Qaeda in the Islamic Mahgreb (AQIM),” Pepe Escobar wrote in August, 2011. “So, for all practical purposes, since then, LIFG/AQIM have been one and the same.”

MUJAO has played its part in building public consensus in France and across Europe by threatening terror attacks. France, the United Nations, NATO and the Pentagon will now expand the war in Africa and the public, once again fearing terror attacks by a dependable and theatrically scary CIA construct, will fall in line and support more war and murder in the name of the globalist empire as it moves to recolonize Africa.
