Ghanian student beaten by Italian police in Parma (Italy)

A student from Ghana, Emmanuel Bonsu, 22 years old, has been beaten by Italian police in the north Italian city of Parma. It seems that he was mistaken for a drug dealer.

The version of the student about what happened to him will be checked by the Carabinieri, the Italian police, after he made an official complain to them in a 8 hours interview. The local police force of Parma, accused of violence and racism against the young student from Ghana, deny the allegations adding that “we respected the rules”, as stated on LaRepubblica daily newspaper website.

This is another episode of racism in Italy regarding Africans.

First the 14 of September young Italian, with African origins, Abdul Guibre was killed in Milan.

Then the 19 of September 5 Africans were killed in a Camorra style execution in the streets of Castelvolturno near Naples.
