By my humble opinion, until now the approach used by financial funds, has proved ineffective. Yes inefficient and unnecessary. When you hear that some institution granted such financial aid to any African country in a specific area (e.g. education, health etc.) we learn thereafter there was misuse or mismanagement of these funds by African leaders.

It is therefore clear that, using notes and coins, does not solve the problems. Africans, living in Africa, who need these things, are forced to look elsewhere in other continents because it is not in our home. This need is much more evident in two sensitive and important areas that are education and health.

What is it?

In concrete and practical, we must build large schools, universities, prestigious professional institutes in African countries more or less poor. Then assign Western teachers to provide instruction in these schools so that national students receive the same lessons, training, experiences, that those who go to study in Europe or the USA get. Thus, a large majority of African populations have access to art training locally in their countries and at lower cost. In return, they can serve their nation directly, without the question “return or no return” after graduation because they are already
home, in their country.

Instead of offering scholarships to a handful of the most lucky students, a supply system that is also regrettable because too selective, hence, reducing or destroying the hopes of many young people wishing to continue their studies. Instead of these shortcomings and insignificant scholarship, why not broaden the scope and allow the people to learn? Hence the idea, utility or
the urgency to open large opportunities in Africa.

On the other hand, health. Again the finding is negative. Hospitals in the black Africa, especially in the so-called “pretty” PPTE (poor heavily indebted), the situation is miserable. Lack of specialists for all pathologies, lack of medical infrastructure. Either the equipment is obsolete and old, or it is simply non-existent. For any surgery, you must take the patient to the West. We want hospitals just as the “white” have with the best medical specialists aware of their true missions and medical equipment.

In short, Africa needs to be built, constructed, developed. Giving money to corrupt African leaders, is not the best solution.

We want to work for real, tangible, concrete things. For many Africa must give more but let’s make. So, anyone who cares for the well-being, the future of this beautiful continent full of wealth of its men, help us to better develop Africa.

Djaratou Aoudou

Djaratou Aoudou

It is time to rethink the method of allocation of aid to Africa.
