Bank of Ghana leaves prime rate unchanged

ACCRA, Sept 1 – The Bank of Ghana left its prime rate unchanged at 12.50 percent after considering signs that the economy has picked up, the bank’s governor said on Thursday, confounding most analysts’ expectations of a 50 basis points cut.

ACCRA, July 6  – The Bank of Ghana cut its prime policy rate by 50 basis points to 12.50 percent on Wednesday, saying inflation was under control despite economic growth currently running at over 20 percent a year.

Ghana to issue three-year bond in June

ACCRA, May 26 – The Bank of Ghana will issue a three-year bond worth 300 million cedis on June 2, the central bank said on Thursday.
