Kenya women in fear

07.July.2010 · Posted in news

AlJazeera english report a study from Amnesty International about the risk of being raped by many women in Kenya who do not have the necessary privacy in toilets (they often have to use public facilities with poor privacy) and when they bath.

Women “need more privacy than men when going to the toilet or taking a bath and the inaccessibility of facilities make women more vulnerable to rape, leaving them trapped in their own homes,” Godfrey Odongo, Amnesty International’s East Africa researcher, said.
